Srinagar : Police in Budgam on Friday facilitated Police Community Partnership Group meetings (PCPG) at Police Station Khag & Police Station Khansahib.
According to the statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar, at Police Station Khag, the meeting was chaired by SHO PS Khag Inspector Bahar Ahmed and at Police Station Khansahib, the meeting was chaired by DySP(P) Mubashir Niaz. These meetings were attended by respectables, Imams/Masjid Committee heads of Khag area & Khansahib area respectively.
Police in it’s above quoted statement said that during the meetings, various issues of public importance including curbing drug menace, steps/initiatives taken to curb the menace of substance abuse especially among teenagers was discussed. Chairing officers stressed upon the participants to spread awareness about drug abuse and its ill effects on our society. Participants raised various issues to which they were assured that whatever pertains to police will be resolved on priority. At the conclusion, chairing officers requested participants to cooperate with police in eradicating the drug menace and other social crimes so that peaceful atmosphere in the areas is maintained.
Moreover, police further said that the participants in the meeting assured their full co-operation to Police in tackling social evils and also appreciated the efforts of Police in facilitating community interaction meets where participants express their opinions freely.
