Dir Emp. Deptt J&K stresses for making Career counseling sessions result oriented

Srinagar : The Director, Employment Department J&K, Nisar Ahmad Wani on Friday convened a meeting of departmental Officers, here and emphasized upon them to reach out to the unemployed youth to raise awareness among them regarding various self-employment schemes for their socio-economic development.
At the outset, the Director asked them to reach out to the unemployed youth and get them registered on the portal of Employment Department viz. www.jakemp.nic.in that has been integrated with the National Career Services (NCS) portal which gives access to youth to a variety of Job Opportunities throughout India.
He also stressed upon making Career Counseling Sessions result oriented and catering to the needs of the young population.
The officers present were also instructed to organize Job Fairs to provide a common platform to Job Seekers & Job Providers.
He further directed to conduct unemployment survey in their respective districts to reveal the actual picture of unemployment across the J&K. Focus was laid on motivating youth to take up Self Employment Opportunities available with the Department and other Line Departments.
Moreover, the Joint Director Employment during the meeting laid emphasis on achieving the targets under different deliverables of the Department.
The meeting was attended by the Joint Director Employment, Hakeem Tanveer Ahmad, besides Deputy/ Assistant Directors, Career Counselling Officers and Employment Officers of Kashmir Division.
