Dir Horticulture reviews departmental activities in Ramban Distt

Ramban : Director Horticulture Jammu, Ram Savak on Thursday visited Ramban district and reviewed the Horticulture scenario in the District at a meeting of the Extension and Nursery staff.
During the meeting, he directed to achieve the allotted targets with respect to Area Expansion under CAPEX Budget and revised Modified High Density Plantation Programme and creation of Mother Block and Nursery Production units in Public Sector to meet out the emerging demand of quality planting material raised therein. All the staff members of Ramban, Ramsoo, Banihal and Gool attended the meeting.
At the outset, Chief Horticulture Officer, Anil Kumar Gorka welcomed the Director Horticulture and briefed about the status of Public Sector nurseries and works going on in the field.
Farm Manager ACHD, Govindpora, Virinder Kumar also briefed the chair about the farm activities and production status of the Plants.
The Director also laid thrust on active participation of the employees of Horticulture Sector in the ongoing “Kissan Sampark Abhiyan” of Holistic Agriculture Development Programme so that the farming community could take advantage of the Govt. Schemes of the Horticulture sector.
During the tour, the Director also inspected the farm activities at the ACHD Govindpura. Later, he visited the MOCN Banihal to inspect the preparation of the Nursery Production Unit to be created under Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP).
