Jammu : Police on Thursday said that it has seized seven vehicles for being used in illegal mining in Jammu.
In a statement issued on Thursday Police in Jammu said that while acting on the specific inputs police teams raided many locations location in Jammu division and seized seven vehicles for being involved in illegal mining, adding therein that the vehicle which were seized included four dumpers bearing Registration Nos. JK02CW 2245, JK02CG 8174, JK0X 6469 and JK02CX 1055, by PS Bagh e Bahu; One tractor trolley without Registration No by PS Nagrota, Two tractor trollies bearing Registration No. JK02DC 9958 and JK02 CD 9958, by PP Jourian
In it’s above referred statement Police further said that the recoveries were made by SHO PS Bagh e Bahu Inspr Arti Thakur, SHO PS Nagrota Inspr Vishav Partap Singh and I/C PP Jourian PSI Karnail Singh in their respective jurisdiction and the DMO Jammu was also intimated about the same.
In the concluding para of it’s above quoted statement Police said that the arrests and the seizers were made in violation of order of High Court of J&K and warned to take strict actions against the people involved in the transportation minerals and illegal mining rated cases.
