Anantnag : The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Anantnag, S.F. Hamid on Tuesday convened a meeting of the Presidents of MCs and Councilors at Dak Banglow Khanabal.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss ways and means to further improve the interdepartmental coordination in implementing developmental programs and welfare schemes in urban areas of District Anantnag.
During the meeting, the DDC emphasized the importance of the council members’ efforts in planning and monitoring developmental projects and welfare schemes. He also stressed the need for sectoral officers to work together with elected members and ensure full support to them in planning, execution, and monitoring of developmental works under District and centrally sponsored schemes.
The councilors appreciated the initiative taken by the DDC in having an interactive session regarding the implementation of developmental progra They assured the DDC of their cooperation and support in the interest of the general public.
The meeting was attended by the ADC Anantnag JDP, presidents of MCs and Councilors, and all other sectoral officers.
