Pulwama: The District Administration Pulwamaon Tuesday organized a Blood Donation Camp (Red Cross Day) at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Pulwama, here.
Assistant Commissioner, Revenue, Pulwama, Aijaz Ahmed inaugurated the Blood Donation Camp (Red Cross Day) by donating himself first.
As many as 14 donors from various areas of district Pulwama voluntarily donated their blood for the noble cause.
ACR said that the blood donated by volunteers will be of great help in meeting the requirements of needy patients.
Beside this, awareness lectures were delivered by the faculty of the department among the front-line workers and general masses highlighting the importance of blood donation and its role in saving precious human lives.
Officials of Red Cross Society Pulwama, Paramedical staff of Block Medical Office Pulwama, teachers, students in large numbers and other concerned were also present on the occasion.
