DC Kupwara flags-off J&K RTC Bus service to Tangdhar, Teetwal

Says “Bus service will be highly beneficial for general public, facilitate tourists”

Kupwara: In order to provide better transport facilities to the people and promote border tourism in the district, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Dr. DoifodeSagarDattatrayon Tuesday flagged-off newly allotted J&K RTC Bus Service to Tangdhar and Teetwal from D.C Office Kupwara, here.
J&K RTC bus service to Tangdhar, Teetwal is aimed at providing better transport facilities to the people of Sub division Karnah, Kralpora and Chowkibal areas.
Bus offers comfortable to and fro travel experience and is equipped with state of art technology, comfortable seats besides its safety features will facilitate tourists visiting to Drangyari, Chowkibal, Sadna Pass, Tangdhar, Teetwal and other enroute tourist destinations.
While congratulating people during the flagging-off ceremony, the DC said that the District Administration is committed to providing better transport facilities to the people of Kupwara district. He said that the Bus service to Tangdhar and Teetwal and other enroute areas will be highly beneficial for the general public and also facilitate the tourists.
Dr. Sagar further said that as the tourist footfall has increased in the district, transport services, road connectivity, homestay and tourism infrastructure besides other related facilities are continuously being improved and upgraded by the District Administration on priority to give a boost to the tourism activities in Kupwara.
Meanwhile, PRIs and local people of Teetwal, Tangdhar, Kralpora, Chowkibal and other enroute areas have expressed their gratitude to the District Administration for requisitioning and starting bus service for them and making their travel easy and comfortable.
