Horticulture Planning & Marketing Deptt organises Farmers’ awareness camp at Marothi

Udhampur : Horticulture Planning& Marketing Department on Monday organised a farmers’ awareness camp at Panchayat Marothi in block Latti.
The farmers and fruit growers present were given information about HADP, PMFME, Subsidy, Grading/ Packaging and other schemes of the Department of Horticulture Planning and Marketing. The camp was held under the supervision of Area Marketing Officer Udhampur-Reasi alongwith Assistant Grading & Marketing Officer Udhampur.
Apart from PRIs, a number of growers, Manager of Latti & Mantalai branch of J&K Bank, AR Cooperatives Department, CEO Dera Top FPO and officials of Horticulture Department were present on the occasion.
During the camp, the staff of the department gave demonstrations on grading lines for apples and walnuts. The Area Marketing Officer exhorted the growers to take benefits of Government schemes. Growers were informed about features of the PMFME scheme, HADP and Subsidy on Grading & Packing.
AGMO Udhampur deliberated upon schemes of Rural Business Service Hubs & Portable Grading lines. Manager J&K Bank Mantalai also addressed the gathering.
