The DC said this while chairing a meeting of the District Advisory Committee (DAC), here.
The committee discussed in detail the various provisions of Pre- Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques Act, 1994 and status of registration of USG clinics in the district.
On the occasion, the DC instructed for strict adherence to the Act and installation of CCTVs at the USG clinics.
He also asked for conduct of massive and multi-media awareness campaigns through visual, print and social media across the district in order to give proper fillip to the cause.
CMO, MS, DH, DIO, DSWO, BMOs, concerned specialists and other concerned attended the meeting.
