Srinagar : Police on Monday said that it has seized four vehicles involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals in Wuyan and Khrew areas.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that police party from Police Station Khrew headed by In-Charge SHO PS Khrew SI Ghulam Nabi seized four vehicles (Tippers) bearing registration numbers JK13C-8641, JK13B-1577, JK03B -5760 and JK0IM-1335 involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals.
Stating that it has accordingly registered the case under relevant sections of law at Police Station Khrew, Police in the concluding para of it’s above quoted statement police warned people found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt as per law and appealed people to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with their concerned police units.
