Directors of RDD, Panchayat Raj visit Kulgam, Review functioning & progress of RDD, PR

Kulgam : Director Rural Development Department (RDD) Kashmir, Shabir Hussein Bhat and Director Panchayati Raj (PR), Khalid Majid on Saturday visited Kulgam and jointly chaired a meeting of Officers of RDD and PR at Rest house Chawalgam to review the functioning and achievement, implementation status of various schemes in the district.
During the meeting, ACD Kulgam Mohammad Imran apprised the Director RDD about the progress made by the district under various schemes like MGNREGA, PMAY-G, B2V3, RGSA, Capex, Distt Capex, SBM and 14th FC.
It was informed during the meeting that 45122 job cards have been issued, 17123 works under MGNREGA during 2022-23 were taken-up and completed with a wage disbursement of Rs. 40 crores.
He added that under PMAY(G), against the target of 2600 units, 1910 units have been completed whereas 690 are under progress and the expenditure cost is around 30 crore.
He also apprised the chair that under RGSA, 99 Panchayat Bhawans have been completed and 9 are under construction in the district. It was also shared that under 14th FC, 6322 works were completed with an expenditure of Rs 67.56 crore.
The Director expressed satisfaction regarding the progress made by the district and directed the officers of RDD to work hard in the larger interest of the public.
He asked them to ensure the timely completion of all the works with judicious utilization of funds and to ensure the quality of work to create durable assets for making all villages healthy and clean.
Director Panchayati Raj emphasized upon the officers to ensure door-to-door garbage collection in rural areas.
He directed the concerned Officers of the district to work in missionary zeal to create the requisite infrastructure for disposal of domestic waste. He also asked the officers to fully involve the local PRIs for the effective implementation of the Mission.
