Shopian : The teaching and non teaching staff of District Institute of Education and Trainings, Shopian bid an affectionate farewell to Abdul Majid, Principal DIET, who attained superannuation recently.
Chief Education Officer, Shopian, Mohammad Mushtaq; Deputy Chief Education Officer, Shopian, Javeed Ahmad Khan, Sr. Lecturers, Lecturers, Teachers and DIET Faculty both Teaching and Non Teaching were present on the occasion.
The officers and officials on the occasion praised the officer on his superannuation and highlighted his exemplary services for Education Sector in District Shopian, especially works undertaken by the Principal and his team. They praised his qualities and capabilities as educator and administrator in education sector in the district.
Speaking on the occasion, the Principal DIET, Abdul Majid while sharing his 34 years of experience in Education Sector advised the whole gathering to promote/strengthen the Education Sector in district by invoking personal efforts and professional competencies for which a district body like DIET has a comprehensive mandate.
The retiring officer praised the whole staff of the DIET, Shopian for their dedication, integrity and painstaking character while execution of services for the department. The officer while quoting Swami Vivekananda stressed the utilization and guidance of young blood in the department and praised the efforts of DIET Shopian, in achieving the targets set for the institute by SCERT, SED, SAMAGRA Shikhsha J&K and Administrative Department especially in procurement and execution of works from time to time.
