Div Com-(J) visits Samba, inspects progress of ongoing work on Delhi Katra Expressway project

Samba: Divisional Commissioner, Ramesh Kumar on Wednesday chaired a meeting here to review the Special Summary Revision exercise of electoral rolls 2023 in the District Samba.
During the meeting, the Div Com reviewed the progress of the revision exercise and discussed strategies to ensure that the exercise is completed within the extended date of 06 May 2023.
The ADDC, ADC, ACR, SDM, Ghagwal, Deputy DEO, Tehsildars, election staff and others attended the meeting held in the DC office.
The Div com reviewed the status of revision of electoral rolls in three assembly constituencies of Ramgarh, Samba, and Vijaypur of the district Samba. The Div Com reviewed the district EP ratio, district projected population, gender ratio, new epic card holders, and PwDs marked as elector and other parameters.
The date for filing claims and objections regarding the Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Rolls has been extended to May 6, 2023. The Div Com instructed all officers and officials associated with the Special Summary Revision (SSR) to work with dedication and zeal to complete the exercise in a time-bound manner with 100 percent enrolment of eligible voters.
The Div Com also instructed to upload the list of Booth Level Officers (BLOs), along with their contact numbers on the designated website and on the notice boards for public information.
The Div Com stressed the importance of complete revision of the special summary, including the addition of new voters and deletion of duplicate voters, within the extended date. He expressed hope that the exercise would be completed successfully, and all eligible voters would be enrolled.
Earlier, the Div Com visited the polling station Supwal and enquired about the facilities available. He also interacted with locals present in the polling station. Abhishek Sharma, District Election Officer Samba, accompanied him.
Later, the Div Com inspected the progress on Delhi Katra Expressway Project packages 15 & 16 falling in District Samba. He also reviewed the status of Land acquisition, besides compensation disbursement among the woners.
The DC Samba was asked to expedite compensation disbursement process of the land acquired for Delhi Katra Expressway & expeditiously remove balance hindrances being faced by project Executing Agencies.
The Div com also instructed the Mining Department for timely issuance of requisite permits required to fulfill huge minor mineral requirement of this mega project. He also inspected the completed Chichi Mata, Mansar Morh and Samba Flyover project sites & appreciated the quality of work completed before time by NHAI which has come as great relief for the residents of Samba District & eliminated the accident prone black spot locations on the National Highway.
The Div Com also inspected the ongoing work of Delhi Amritsar Katra Expressway along under construction Greenfield Samba Bypass & Brownfield stretch passing through Supwal, Vijaypur, Bagla & Baribrahmana. On spot instructions were given to the ADC Samba & concerned Tehsildars for providing support to NHAI in clearing of hindrances from the land acquired for the project.
Executing Agencies were instructed to expedite the works by deploying additional resources to complete the prestigious project connecting the national capital to the revered shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi, Katra before time.
Abhishek Sharma, Deputy Commissioner Samba; Benam Tosh SSP Samba; YPS Jadon, PD NHAI; Ish Gupta. Manager(T), NHAI; ADC Samba, concerned Tehsildars and representatives of executing agencies accompanied the Div Com.
