Ganderbal : Continuing with its endeavor to reach out to the people at their doorsteps to redress their grievances, the District Administration Ganderbal on Wednesday chaired a public grievances redressal camp at far flung area of block Gund as part of weekly Block Diwas programme.
The camp was held at Govt. Higher Secondary School Hariganwan and was presided over by the Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Ganderbal, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani.
The programme was highly appreciated and witnessed overwhelming participation of PRIs, prominent citizens and local youth delegations from adjacent villages of block Gund who apprised the ADDC of various issues pertaining to their area.
On the occasion, the delegations raised several demands of public importance especially augmentation of basic facilities including, upgradation of PHC Gund, Play Ground, dearth of staff in schools, upgradation of middle school, upgradation of old water Supply Schemes, upgradation of roads, lack of transport facilities from Kangan to various areas of Gund block and others.
The ADDC gave them patient hearing and assured that all their genuine demands shall be addressed on priority.

While replying to the issues and demands, the ADDC said that District Administration is making all efforts to provide all basic amenities at the doorsteps of the people especially living in far flung areas of the district so that they may not suffer due to paucity of such facilities.

The programme was attended by SDM Kangan, Javaid Ahmad Rather; ACD, Dr. Bashir Ahmad; ACP, CMO, Executive Engineers of various Engineering Wings and other district and sectoral officers.
