DDC Ang presides over the Block Diwas at Bijbehara

DM says “Block Diwas is the perfect example of ‘Jan Baghidari”

Anantnag: The District Development Commissioner, (DDC) Anantnag, S F Hamid on Wednesday presided over the block Diwas held at Bijbehara block of the district.
On the occasion, PRIs and the general public put forth their suggestions regarding the various development aspects of the area before the DDC.
The DDC while addressing the gathering said that District Administration is taking every effort to address the issues of the general and genuine nature. He said that mass participation and positive response of people indicates the importance of Block Diwas.
He gave on spot direction to concerned departments for redressal of issues projected in Block Diwas. He thanked the people for their participation and turned the programme into an interacting cum participatory event.
The DDC directed the concerned officer to conduct awareness camps regarding employment generation schemes so that maximum youth get benefited besides. He also directed for technical guidance to orchardists, agriculturists by the concerned officers. He further directed for departmental coordination and cooperation for early redressal of the genuine demands of the public and the line officers assured early compliance.
S F Hamid on the occasion said that District Administration is committed to provide the better facilities and for any assistance the doors of DDC are always open for the general public
The programme was attended by ADDC Anantnag, SE R&B, JD Planing, SDM Bijbehara, CMO, CHO, CEO, DSHO, BDO PRI members and other officers of line departments besides the large number of locals.
Block Diwas was also held in block Vessu which was presided over by ADC (G) various demands and issues of community nature were raised by the PRIs and people at Bijbehara and Vessu block and the concerned officers were on spot directed for the redressal of the genuine demands of the public.
