Srinagar: Police on Wednesday said that it has seized three tractors and also arrested three persons for their involvement in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals in Baramulla district.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that a police party under the supervision of SDPO Kreeri Khalid Ashraf- assisted by In-charge PP Wagoora arrested three perons and seized three tractors for being involved in illegal extraction & transportation of minerals at Ningli Nallah Shrakwara and they were identified as Mohd Ramzan Teli S/o Abdul Rahim R/o Watergam, Tariq Ahmad Mir S/o Mohd Assadullah R/o Saloosa Kreeri & Shabir Ahmad Bhat S/o Ghulam Rasool R/o Chan Mohalla Wagoora.
Stating that police has accordingly registered a case under relevant sections of law at Police Station Kreeri and further investigation has been also initiated, Police in the concluding para of it’s above quoted statement warned that people found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt as per law and appealed people to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with their concerned police units.
