Woman stabs her would be husband with knife in Srinagar arrested: Police

Srinagar: A woman stabbed her would-be husband in broad-day light in Kak Sarai area of Srinagar leaving him seriously wounded. Police swung into action and arrested the accused woman within hours after the incident.
The incident is the rarest in the history of Srinagar. An official said that the youth sustained injuries in his abdomen after he was stabbed by his would-be wife in Darish Kadal area of Kak Sarai. The youth identified as Adil Ahmed of Bemina area of the city was admitted at SMHS hospital where doctors treating him stated his condition as stable. “The youth has sustained injuries in his abdomen and is stable now,” a doctor said.
Acting swiftly, police arrested the attacker within hours, who turned out to be the fiancée of the injured youth. Srinagar police in a Tweet, informed that the accused woman has been arrested, while the injured man is stable now.
Police said the woman was engaged to the man and Nikaah ceremony between the two had also taken place.
“One person, Adil Ahmad Kaloo of Bemina Srinagar was stabbed with a knife by his fiancé Asifa Bashir of Parimpora in broad daylight in Chattabal. The injured are stable. The lady was engaged to the victim & nikaah had also taken place. FIR No 57/2023 in Safakadal PS. Accused lady arrested,” police tweeted
