Ashok Kumar Sharma takes over as Dir School Edu, Jmu

Jammu : Ashok Kumar Sharma, assumed the charge of Director of School Education, Jammu, here on Tuesday at the Directorate head office Jammu. With his years of experience in the public sector, the new Director brings in a wealth of expertise and skills to the table.
Previously, Sharma was serving as the Director of Estates, Jammu and has worked on many other important positions. He also served as Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar where he played a pivotal role in streamlining the administrative machinery.
After assuming the office, the Director held an introductory meeting with the officers, officials and other staff members of the Directorate wherein he was apprised of the current activities and initiatives in progress.
Speaking about his appointment, Sharma said, “It is an honor to be appointed as the Director of School Education, Jammu. I am committed to working tirelessly to improve the education system in the region. Education is the foundation of progress, and we need to ensure that every child has access to quality education.”
The Director stressed upon the officers and officials to work with zeal, dedication and honesty so as to achieve the goals of the department and to make the teaching learning process more effective.
The staff members of the Directorate of School Education welcomed Ashok Kumar Sharma and wished him all the best for his new role. His appointment comes at an important time when the education sector in Jammu and Kashmir is undergoing significant changes and improvements and is in a phase of transition especially because of the implementation of the New Education Policy. His experience, coupled with his passion for education, will help the Directorate achieve its goals and deliver quality education to the region’s children.
