Poonch : Yasin M. Choudhary on Monday assumed charge as new Deputy Commissioner Poonch in the presence of all the officers of district administration. He succeeded InderJeet as Deputy Commissioner Poonch.
The incoming Deputy Commissioner was accorded a warm reception by the general public of district Poonch along with PRIs and civil society.
Moreover, a special reception was organised for the incoming Deputy Commissioner by the staff members of the Deputy Commissioner’s office.
A team of officers led by Additional District Development Commissioner Malikzada Sheraz Ul Haq welcomed the new Deputy Commissioner at Bhimber Gali (BG) along with Additional Deputy Commissioner Poonch Tahir Mustafa Malik, Chief Planning Officer Poonch Maqsood Ahmed, Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) Poonch Zaheer Ahmed Kaifi and several other officers.
He was previously serving in the J&K government as Managing Director, Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Ltd. An alumni of IIT-Roorkee, he served at various positions viz- SDM Mahore, Deputy Commissioner Shopian, Director NRHM with additional charge of Ayushmann Bharat. Yasin M. Choudhary proved his mettle and did exceptional work during tough times especially during all three COVID waves and as Deputy Commissioner Shopian for which he is highly recognised and appreciated by General public.
Known for his public friendly approach, the Deputy Commissioner expressed his immense pleasure to serve the mountainous population of Poonch district and committed to work with dedication for the upliftment of masses.
While interacting with a team of officials, he conveyed his priorities especially the health and governance sector with the aim to improve the ranking of the district on all development indicators.
He advised officers to be vigilant in their duties and create a corruption free environment for the general public of Poonch.
