DDC Reasi finalises Distt plan for FY 2023-24

Reasi: To discuss the formulation of developmental plans under District Capex Budget 2023-2024, District Development Council Chairman Reasi, Saraf Singh Nag on Monday chaired a meeting of the DDC members and concerned District officers, here in the conference Hall of DC Office Complex.
ADDC Reasi, Jyoti Slathia presented the charter of activities carried out in the district during the financial year 2022-23 and also presented the budget for the current financial year 2023-24.
It is pertinent to mention that the ceiling for each DDC member in the Area Development Fund/district Capex plan is Rs 70 lakh, whereas the ceiling for BDC Chairman is Rs 25 lakh and for PRI’s of a panchayat is Rs 23.30 lakh.
The DDC Chairman emphasized upon the council members to take up projects of public importance under current allocation of district Capex so as to meet the popular aspirations of the people in tandem with all stakeholders.
During the meeting, the DDC emphasized the importance of completing the ongoing works under the District Capex Budget in a timely manner. He urged all the stakeholders to identify works and projects that benefit the maximum number of people and can be completed within the stipulated time frame, as per the guidelines of the Finance department.
The DDC chairman also directed the departments to keep only those works in the current year plan that can be completed in the next one or two years and that benefit the maximum number of people.
District Development Commissioner Reasi, Babila Rakwal urged all the stakeholders to work in coordination for the effective implementation and time bound completion of plan works.
The district Capex plan 2023-24 for the district Reasi is a comprehensively formulated plan with the instrumentality to act as a harbinger of change in terms of socio economic development of the rural masses.
The meeting was attended by Vice Chairperson Sajra Qadir, DDC Reasi Babila Rakwal, ADDC Jyoti Salathia, CPO Sunita Kanchan, ACD Anirudh Rai besides other DDC members, BDC chairpersons and BDOs and other senior officers of district administration
