DC B’gam convenes introductory sectoral meeting with officers of Distt Admin

DC Stresses on completion of works within specified timelines

Budgam : A day after assuming charge as Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Akshay Labroo on Monday convened an introductory sectoral meeting with District & Sectoral officers of the district.
The DC on the occasion held threadbare discussions sector- wise.
While the first meeting was convened on the social sector and RDD related schemes. The second meeting was convened with the various engineering wings and executing agencies. The third meeting was held with the senior revenue officers of the district.
DC instructed all officers to strictly adhere to the timeline with respect to completion of projects and instructed officers to ensure that eligible beneficiaries are provided benefit of the schemes within the PSGA timelines.
The DC further instructed officers of the revenue department to provide services within the timelines prescribed under PSGA.
It is apt to mention here, Public Services Guarantee Act (PSGA) guarantees time bound delivery of services for various public services rendered by the Government to citizens and provides a mechanism for punishing the errant public servant who is deficient in providing the service stipulated under the statute.
The DC stressed on seeking public participation and Jan Baghidari in planning as well as effective implementation of the schemes.
The meeting among others was attended by ADDC Budgam Dr. Akramullah Tak; ADC Budgam Dr. Nasir; CMO, ACD, SDMs, DSWO, executive engineers of all wings, all Tehsildars, all BDOs, Executive officers of all MCs and other district and sectoral heads of the district.
