Srinagar : Police on Monday said that it has arrested two accused persons for their involvement in kidnapping of two minor girls in Baramulla.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that the PS Sheeri received a written complaint from Abdul Rehman Beigh S/o Abdul Rahim Beigh who had alleged therein that his two minor daughters were kidnapped by Mohd Aqib Dar and Rayees Ahmad Lone, both residents of Pehliharan, adding therein that a case vide FIR No. 38/2023 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Sheeri and investigation was subsequently initiated.
Stating that during the investigation of the case, Police while acting promptly arrested both the involved accused persons and rescued the minor girls, Police in it’s statement further said that both the accused have been shifted to police station where they remain in custody, adding therein that after completing all necessary legal formalities, the victims were handed over to their legal heirs. Police in it’s statement has also resolved to act tough against the persons involved in this crime and initiated investigation into the matter.
