Awareness Prog on Y 20 held at BHSS Beeerwah

Srinagar : A grand awareness program on Y 20 was held at the Boys Higher Secondary School Beerwah on 28th, April 2023. The program was attended by large number of teachers, students and civil society members.
The Principal BHSS Beerwah Javid Ahmad Banday (also incharge DEPO Budgam) chaired the inaugural session of the program. During the said awareness program, various speakers shed light on themes of Y 20. Mushtaq Ahmad Wani Teacher, writer and a columnist said that climate change is a reality, adding therein that “ It is the responsibility and duty for all of us to invest wholeheartedly for climate stability so that current turmoil in weather and climatic conditions in the atmosphere will end”. He also said that an investment in climate in the form of more Afforestation, use of green technology and energy, sustainable agricultural practices, eco-friendly ways, methods and techniques, reduction in greenhouse gases etc. will bring positive changes in the climate.
During the said program, appreciation certificates were distributed among the students. The program ended with the vote of thanks by the Ghulam Mohiuddin Mir lecturer of chemistry at the BHSS Beerwah.
