DC, other Officers of Kishtwar Admin preside over School Diwas Prog at various Blocks

1380 OOSCs qualify Endline Test: Admission Certificates, Age certificates provided to beneficiaries

Kishtwar : The School Diwas programmes were organised on Thursday in 11 designated Schools across different blocks of district Kishtwar.
The School Diwas programmes were conducted under the close supervision of District Officers and sectoral officers of the district, including Deputy Commissioner, Additional District Development Commissioner, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, SDM Chatroo, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, ACD besides SDMs and Tehsildars.
Deputy Commissioner, Dr Devansh Yadav presided over the proceedings of the School Diwas programme at Government Middle School Pehalguwra of panchayat Chingam B of block Inderwal.
During the Programme, the Deputy Commissioner, in presence of the Tehsildar Chatroo, Suman Ji; BDO Chatroo, Tasleem Wani; CEO, Prehlad Bhagat; CAO Amjad Hussain Malik; BMO Chatroo, Dr Saima Ago, GM NHIDCL besides other field functionaries and PRIs interacted with the “Back to School” Children who have completed the 3 months Bridge course under “Back to School” project Talaash and motivated and encouraged them for showing good performance in recently conducted Endline test.
On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner announced the result of Back to School Children (3 months ago enrolled for Bridge Course) who have recently appeared for the Endline Test after completing the Bridge course.
Pertinent to mention that these Out of School Children in the age groups 6-14 years were earlier enrolled for Bridge course and appeared for the Endline test on March 17, 2023 for enrollment for the regular education. A total of 1380 have qualified for the saame.
In school Diwas programmes, the Admission certificates were also handed over to the qualifiers of the test, besides the Date of Birth certificates issued by BDO office were also handed over to the beneficiaries so that they can continue the mainstream education without any inconvenience.
Speaking on the occasion Deputy Commissioner, encouraged and motivated the parents of “Back to School Children” to facilitate their wards to continue the Education without any fail. He assured all possible help from the Administration in this regard.
The Deputy Commissioner also sensitized the citizens about various initiatives started by District Administration, including the “Hello Kishtwar” -an Intervoice Response System to listen to the queries and grievances of the poor people of the far flung areas of the District regarding the service deliverance mechanism over phone to save their money and time which they spent on travelling to govt. offices.
He informed the people that any person can call on IVRS number 8470-800-900 and register his/her grievances over the phone through this transparent and affordable mechanism. “The caller can also check the status of his/her complaint lodged through an online link on their mobile phone.”
The Deputy Commissioner also spoke about the ongoing talent hunt singing programme “Kishtwar Idol” where every talented singer of all age groups has got the opportunity to showcase his/her talent.
Besides, he also encouraged the people to participate in the upcoming Sinthan Festival being held on 29th & 30th April 2023 at Sinthan Maidan where the locals can link their livelihood opportunity with the tourism potential of the area.
Later, the Deputy Commissioner, in presence of BDO Kishtwar Tasleem Wani and PRIs distributed I-Cards among the Panchayat Youth Club members.
On the sidelines of the School Diwas programme, an awareness cum training programme under the ongoing Kisan Sampark Abhiyan was also held in the venue wherein parents and farmers were sensitized about the various Centrally Sponsored Schemes in the Agriculture and Allied Sectors meant for the economic uplift of the farmers.
A booklet on the Kisan Sampark Abhiyan was also released on the occasion.
Similarly, Additional District Development Commissioner, Sham Lal- presided over the School Diwas programme at Govt Higher Secondary School Keshwan of block Thakraie,.
At Block Drabshalla, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Inderjeet Singh Parihar chaired the School Diwas proceeding here at MS Angara Sarthal.
The School Diwas programme was also held at Block Nagseni at Middle School Gorna under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner Revenue Varunjeet Singh Charak.
Assistant Commissioner Panchayat Zakir Hussain Wani attended the similar programme at Panchayat Chamoti of Block Drabshalla.
SDM Chatroo Dr. Mohsin Raza, ACD, Sunil Bhutyal, Tehsildar Kishtwar Muneeb Umar, Tehsildar Bounjwah, Tehsildar Nagseni and Tehsildar Mughalmaidan also chaired the School Diwas programme at respective entrusted Schools and motivated and encouraged the “Back to school children” to continue their studies besides felicitated the OOSC with certificates.
