Maha Gram Sabha held for formulation of GPDP of two Smart villages at Kupwara

Kupwara : A Maha Gram Sabha was on Monday held at Shahlal Handwara to formulate GPDP 2023-24 for two smart villages ShahLal and Buderhur.
Maha Gram Sabha was presided over by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Handwara, Nazir Ahamd Mir
PRIs, a large number of local residents, District Officers and Sectoral Officers of all line departments attended the Gram Sabha.
Addressing the maha Gramsabha, ADC Handwara said that Mahagramsabha provided a platform for officers of different line departments, field functionaries, PRIs and general public to assemble at one place and discuss various development issues.
ADC said that there was healthy interaction and GPDP for both the panchayats was formulated. He further said that it is the responsibility of district administration and PRIs to work in tandem and ensure development and happiness in rural areas.
DDC member Rajwar, Sulaman Mir on the occasion congratulated the residents of both the Panchayats ShahLal and Buderhur for getting their Panchayats selected as Smart villages.
He said that GPDP for both the Panchayats were formulated Monday in a peaceful and interactive atmosphere.
He said that Education is the top most priority in both the Panchayats and he appreciated the Education department for approving two Kindergartens at ShahLal and Waripora.
“By executing different projects in convergence mode in both the smart villages we can create a benchmark of development here” , DDC member said.
Maha gram sabha was attended by PRIs and district and sectoral officers of line departments.
