2 drug smugglers arrested under PIT NDPS Act in Bla : Police

Srinagar : Police on Monday said that it has booked two rug smugglers under PIT NDPS Act in Baramulla.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that the two drug smugglers identified as Jan Mohammad Lone @Jagawar S/o Late Mohammad Maqbool Lone R/o Shaheen Mohalla Delina & Aijaz Ahmad Dar @Dar S/o Habibullah Dar R/o Shalteng Srinagar, have been booked under PIT NDPS Act after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent authority, adding therein that the booked drug peddlers have been detained and subsequently lodged in Central Jail Kot-Balwal Jail Jammu.
Stating that many cases are registered against these drug peddlers for being involved in promoting drug abuse trade by supplying drugs to local youth of Pattan, Kreeri Wagoora and other areas of District Baramulla, Police in it’s statement further said that despite their involvement in many FIRs, they did not mend their activities and were again involved in promoting drug abuse trade by supplying drugs to local youth. Police in the concluding para of it’s above quoted statement appealed people to act tough about the persons involved in the crime.
