DIC Pulwama organizes Mehfil-e-Mushaira/ Naat Conference

Pulwama : The District Information Centre (DIC) Pulwama on Sunday organized a Mehfil-e-Mushaira/ Naat Conference in collaboration with District Cultural Society Pulwama in the native village of Jinab Soch Kral, in Inder Pulwama, here.
District Information Officer Pulwama, officials of DIC Pulwama, and scores of Poets associated with the Cultural group participated.
The renowned poet and academician, Javeed Kalmi presided over the function.
The function started with Naat-i-Sharief in which many poets who had come from different areas of the District presented their Literary work.
On the occasion, the poets recited latest poetry and Naat’s in local Kashmiri and Urdu languages and mesmerized the audience with their poetic recitations.
In his address, Javeed Kalmi complimented the efforts of the Information Department for organizing literary and Cultural activities in the district.
He exhorted upon the fair-minded and knowledgeable budding youth of the district to come forward and take part in the cultural and artistic activities in the district.
On the occasion, District Information Officer Pulwama said that the District Pulwama has rich cultural ethos and traditions, which needs to be carried forward to the new generations and the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) has always been providing a platform to uphold and sustain this rich culture.
The poets who participated in the Musharia include Gh Rasool Mashkoor, Shamas Saleem, Jalal-ud-din Dilnawaz, Gh Mohammad Dilshad, Gh Mohammad Jangalnadi, AB Rashid, Ashaq Ishtiyaq, TajunNisa, Mir Ab Ahad, Ab Rehman Jangalnadi, Javeed Kalmi, Mushtaq Muzroob, Sheikh Gulzar, Mohammad Akbar Dardbaz, Mir Abdul Rehman, Ab Rashid Panzgami and many others.
