VC DDC Kupwara distributes 65 New Ration Cards among PHH families at Wavoora

Kupwara: Vice Chairman (VC), District Development Council (DDC), Kupwara, Haji Farooq Ahmad Mir on Wednesday convened a joint meeting of Officers/ functionaries of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs and local beneficiaries at Wavoora in Lolab subdivision of Kupwara district.
On the occasion, the VC reviewed the stock and supply position of food grains and other essential commodities in view of the ongoing holy month of Ramadan and ensuing Eid. He was informed that sufficient stock of all essential commodities and food grains are available in the district including Lolab subdivision.
The VC on the occasion distributed new 65 Ration Cards among local beneficiaries under Priority Households (PHH) Scheme.
Speaking at the occasion, the VC said that the Government is committed to provide better possible services to the people, especially to those living below the poverty line.
The Assistant Director, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Wali Mohammad, BDC Chairperson, TSO Sogam, PRIs and local people of the area attended the function.
