Self-employment Enrollment camps to be held in all the 520 villages: DC B’gam

Budgam : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, S F Hamid on Wednesday chaired the Block Diwas programme at Government High School in Panchayat Halqa Shamsabad of Block Khansahab.
PRIs, respected elders and local youth delegations from villages Yekbugh, Kalshipora, Shamsabad, Kralnar and other adjacent villages raised their demands during the programme with the DC.
The DC gave them patient hearing and assured that all their genuine demands shall be addressed on priority.
At the outset, the R&B authorities informed that over Rs 10 crore projects have been approved for the development of Shamsabad- Kaietch road project, inner links at Shamsabad.
The DC issued instructions that 5 inner road projects of RDD be also taken up for work execution on priority.
He directed that land for construction of primary school buildings be identified on war footing for better educational facilities to local children at primary level.
The DC said that besides overall development of people, self-employment and cleanliness are among top priorities for District Administration in Budgam.
He urged local unemployed youth to register under different self- employment schemes to open their own business ventures and become successful entrepreneurs.
In order to ensure better public service delivery and awareness about different schemes, the DC said that a joint awareness camps shall be conducted by KPDCL Budgam and RDD Budgam on April- 19, Animal Husbandry and Sheep Husbandry departments on April- 22 and Agriculture and Horticulture departments on April- 24 at Shamsabad.
He said concerned departments shall give awareness on different schemes including PM Kissan, PDD Amnesty Scheme, PM- Kusum and facilitate distribution of seed varieties, awareness regarding fertilizers, vaccination of livestock and form submission for various services to the general public.
Exhorted concerned to conduct regular soil and water tests, the DC instructed them to provide soil health cards to all farmers within a 15- days time period.
Emphasizing on providing better road, transport, educational and health facilities, the DC also directed concerned for completion of ongoing works in a time bound manner.
He instructed PDD authorities to ensure execution of improvement works and installation of poles, street lights on war footing.
To ensure better sports facilities to youth, the DC stressed that work on the playground be expedited for its timely completion.
The DC also took assessment of road development, drainage network and facilities related to drinking water, Sheep and Animal husbandry, Agriculture and other allied sectors being provided to locals by concerned offices.
Directions were given for development of Amrit Sarovar, Public Park and other facilities in the village.
Later, the DC also visited High School Shamsabad and interacted with students and appreciated them for their hard work and participation in both academics as well as co- curricular activities.
Among others, SDM Khansahab, Syed Ahmad Kataria; AD Planning, ARTO, BDO, Tehsildar, ZEO, BMO and concerned officers were also present on the occasion.
