Jammu: Brigadier (Retd) Anil Gupta Member Administration J&K Cricket Association has announced the decision of the Board Of Control For Cricket In India (BCCI) to introduce U-23 Women’s Category in it’s domestic calendar for the year 2023-24.
In a statement issued here on Tuesday Brigadier (Retd) Anil Gupta while announcing the BCCI’s decision said “ Cricket has been achieving new heights and it’s popularity is growing rapidly among the women cricketers also”, adding that “ With the introduction of Women T20 League BCCI has already opened a pathway for women cricketers across the country to showcase their talent”. He also announced that JKCA will conduct trials for U-23 Women proposed during the last week of April this year, Stating therein further that all the women players born on or after Ist September 2000 eligible to participate. Stating that the players need to submit digitised Date Of Birth (DOB) Certificate, Pan Card and Address Proof (Passport/Voter ID), Brigadier (Retd) Gupta further said that alongwith the documents players are advised to share their particulars,i.e, their name, parentage, Date Of Birth (DOB), Address, District on [email protected] by 20th April this year. He however said that all incomplete application will be rejected and such applicants won’t be called for trials.
