Spl camps for enrolment of voters organized at all Polling Stations of Pulwama

Camps will also be held on April 15; Final Electoral Rolls on May 10, 2023

Pulwama : On the directions of District Election Officer (DEO) Pulwama, Baseer-Ul-Haq Choudhary, Special camps were organized at all the Polling Stations of Pulwama District on Sunday for enrolment of all eligible left out voters.
On the occasion, the eligible left out voters approached to the concerned Booth Level Officers (BLOs) at their respective Polling Stations for voter registration.
The prime aim of organizing the Special Camps for Electoral Registration is to have focused outreach to enroll all eligible electors in the District.
DEO Pulwama had earlier issued clear cut directions to all Booth Level Officers (BLOs) to remain available at respective booths with requisite Forms and Draft Electoral Rolls for the assistance of the Electors.
Speaking about the special camp, DEO said that the prime objective of the camp is to keep the Electoral Roll updated in all manners and to provide an opportunity to get fresh enrolment of young eligible voters having attained the age of 18 or more as on qualifying date and to give opportunities for correction in particulars of electors and also to invite objections against any wrong inclusion in the Electoral Roll.
In the special camp, the requisite forms i.e. 6, 7, 8, 8A were available with the concerned BLOs at all Polling Stations of district. The booth level officers had been directed to ensure sufficient availability of form 6, 7, 8 and 8A with them of facilitate filling of forms by the interested persons at their respective polling booths.
The representatives of political parties had been asked to ensure presence of their booth level agents at the polling booths to supplement the efforts of the booth level officers.
All the Supervisory Officers, BLOs and Designated Officers were available at all Polling Stations of district Pulwama Sunday, alongwith concerned Voter Lists (Electoral Rolls) for inspection of general public and voters.
The Booth Level Agents of all Political Parties, Sarpanchs, Panchs, Lambardars and Chowkidars also coordinated with BLOs to assist them to facilitate the voters.
In the camp, Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) remained proactive, building awareness and activating all their resources and supervising the process with focused attention to ensure 100% registration of all eligible and ensured no eligible elector is left unregistered.
Meanwhile, special camps shall also be organized at every Polling Station of the District on April 15, wherein on spot inclusions of the left out eligible voters will be made.
