Srinagar : Union Minister For External Affairs & Culture Meenakshi Lekhi on Friday flagged off Bharat Gaurav Deluxe AC Tourist train for Ramayana Yatra” from Safdarjung Delhi. General Manager, Northern Railway, Shobhan Chaudhuri, CMD, IRCTC Rajni Hasija, DRM/Delhi Division Sh.Dimpy Garg and other senior officials were also present on the occasion. In 17 Nights/18 Days trip will cover Ayodhya,Nandigram, Janakpur, Sitamarhi,Buxar, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Shringverpur, Chitrakoot , Nashik ,Hampi ,Rameshwaram , Bhadrachalam , Nagpur . Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train with AC-I and AC- II coaches will accommodate a total of 120 tourists.
According to a statement issued by the Chief Public Relation Officer Northern Railways Deepak Kumar this tourist train will have the facility of a Pantry Coach which will serve vegetarian food to the tourist along with this, arrangements for the infotainment system, CCTV Camera Security, etc. Tourists can also board at Delhi Safdarjung, Ghaziabad, Aligarh, Tundla, Etawah, Kanpur and Lucknow station on this tourist train and can De-board at Viranganilakshmi Bai, Gwalior, Agra and Mathura station.
Speaking on the occasion Meenakshi Lekhi said that pilgrims shall visit the prominent sacred places associated with the life of Lord Rama and this train is truly fulfilling the Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat concept of India. ” Ramayana Yatra” theme-based pilgrimage tour by Bharat Gaurav Deluxe AC Tourist train on the Ramayana circuit will cover the prominent sacred places associated with the life of Lord Rama. In 17 Nights/18 Days trip, Railways also offer an optional trip of the Ramayana trail in Sri Lanka.
The” Ramayana Yatra” by Bharat Gaurav Deluxe AC Tourist train” commenced its journey from Delhi Safdarjung railway station on 27th April Friday and will cover Ayodhya( Ram Janmabhoomi temple, Hanuman Garhi, SaryuGhat), Nandigram ( Bharat-Hanuman Temple and Bharat Kund), Janakpur ( Ram Janaki Mandir), Sitamarhi (Janaki Mandir and PunauraDham),Buxar (Ram RekhaGhat, RameshwarNath Temple), Varanasi (TulsiManas temple, SankatMochan temple, Vishwanath temple & Ganga Aarti), SitaSamahitsthal, Sitamarhi( Sita Mata temple), Prayagraj (Bharadwaj Ashram, Ganga-Yamuna Sangam, Hanuman Temple), Shringverpur (Shringi Rishi Samadhi & Shanta Devi Temple, Ramchaura), Chitrakoot (Gupt Godavari, Ram Ghat, Sati Anusuya Temple), Nashik (Trayambkeshwar temple, Panchvati, Sitagufa, Kalaram temple),Hampi(Anjanadri Hill, Virupaksha temple & Vitthal Temple) ,b Rameshwaram (Ramanathaswamy Temple and Dhanushkodi), Bhadrachalam (Sri SitaRamachnadraswamy Temple, AnjaneyaSwamy Temple) and Nagpur (Ramtek Fort and Temple) and back to Delhi Safdarjung.
The ” Ramayana Yatra” tourist train has two types of accommodation viz. AC- I and AC- II class coaches will accommodate a total of 120 tourists.
