Spl Summary Revision: Training Prog for Booth Level Officers held in Ramban

Ramban : A day-long training program on Special Summary Revision for Booth Level Officers (BLOs) of Ramban Assembly Constituency was held at Conference Hall Maitra. The program was held under the aegis of District Election Officer, Mussarat Islam.
Deputy District Election Officer, Lal Chand interacted with the participants and explained the Special Summary Revision process. He informed that the Election Commission of India has initiated various measures to fine-tune the electoral rolls and ERO-NET is being used for making error-free voters list. Chand exhorted BLOs to focus on the registration of new eligible voters who have attained the age of 18 years or more on April 1, 2023.
Resource Person, Ikhlaq Ahmed explained the processing of prescribed forms under ongoing Special Summary Revision. He explained that forms such as Form 6 for registering as Elector/Voter, Form 6b for seeding of Aadhar number. by existing electors, Form-7 for deletion and Form 8 for correction/shifting of voters can be processed on ERO-NET by respective BLO.
An interactive session was also conducted to clarify the doubts and queries of the participants. It was informed that two Special camps shall be held on April 9 and 15, 2023 with a focus on targeting eligible youth when BLOs shall be at their respective Polling Stations with requisite forms for registration.
It was informed that the publication of integrated draft electoral rolls shall be on April 5 at EROs, AEROs and Polling Station levels. Claims and objections can be submitted from April 5 to April 20 and the disposal of claims and objections shall be done on April 28. The checking of health parameters and obtaining Commission’s permission for final publication and updating database & printing of supplements shall be made on May 4. The final publication of electoral rolls shall be held on May 10, 2023.
Among others, ERO, Gias Ul-Haq; AERO Rafiq Ahmad; Election Naib Tehsildar, Mohan Lal; BLOs and Supervisors attended the training programme.
Training programmes for BLOs and Supervisors were also held at Batote, Rajgarh, Pogal-Paristan and Gool Tehsil Headquarters.
