VC BGSBU rollout various research-oriented initiatives

Rajouri: Vice Chancellor BGSBU Prof Akbar Masood is making sustained efforts to augment and encourage research activities in BGSBU to take this University to the next level of academic excellence. He makes constant endeavors to seek suggestions and road- map from all stakeholders of BGSBU to achieve this coveted goal. In one of the recent meetings of Deans / Associate Deans of various Schools and other important functionaries of the varsity, the Vice Chancellor approved that The University shall provide financial assistance to meet the cost of T.A., D.A., lodging, and Registration fee to any post-graduate and B.Tech student as per entitlement, to enable him/her, to present the accepted paper in any conference/seminar/symposium being held in India. This financial assistance shall be limited to once in a year for such applicants. In order to encourage the faculty of BGSBU to obtain a Patent which is a hallmark of any premier institution, the
Vice Chancellor also approved that The University shall reimburse the entire expenditure incurred in connection with obtaining any successful national or international Patent granted to BGSBU faculty.
On the occasion, Prof. Akbar Masood said that the University is constantly making concerted efforts to take the University to next level of academic excellence. It is pertinent to mention that
provision for financial assistance to the B.Tech and PG students for presenting research findings at seminars/ symposia/conferences is a unique proposition which generally is not available in HEI and will go a long way to enable the students in BGSBU to quench their thirst for research.
