Public Grievance Redressal camp held at Rawalpora Khansahab

ADDC calls for holistic development of the area

Budgam : Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Budgam, Dr Akramullah Tak on Wednesday chaired a public grievance redressal camp at Panchayat Halqa Rawalpora in Block Khansahab.
Locals, PRIs, village elders and others respected from villages including Rawalpora, Khospora, Dangerpora, Pannagund, Chanpora, Hanjigund and other adjoining villages of Block Khansahab raised their demands.
After giving patient hearing, the ADDC assured that all genuine demands shall be taken up with the relevant quarters for early resolution.
The ADDC called for the holistic development of the area and emphasized that work on all ongoing projects be expedited to ensure timely completion.
He stressed on development of road connectivity and all hassle- free irrigation and potable water supply to locals.
The ADDC also instructed concerned to conduct a joint awareness camp to apprise locals about various government schemes and initiatives in the area.
Instruction were given to ARTO Budgam to ensure adequate transport facility on local route for convenience of general public.
The ADDC urged that villages elders and parents must play active role in curbing the drug abuse spread by keeping tight vigil on their wards and emphasized youth should actively participate in co- curricular activities and sports activities to remain healthy and away from the drugs and other social evils.
At the outset, the ADDC also appealed youths to register themselves under different self-employment schemes and create their own ventures to become job providers instead of job seekers.
He also emphasized on cleanliness and maintenance of proper sanitation in the area.
The ADDC informed that various JJM works have been approved to ensure improvement in the tap water supply to all the habitations in the area and added that under JJM, projects worth Rs. 1240 crore shall be executed to provide tap water supply across the district.
He instructed panchayat members to ensure cleanliness and maintenance of proper sanitation in all panchayat halqas of the block and urged PRIs to ensure that people ban use of one-time plastic items and dumping of garbage roadside and in open areas.
He said that instead they use separate dustbins for proper disposal of garbage generated daily by the households.
Among others, SDM Khansahab, Tehsildar, BMO, BDO, ARTO representatives from Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry and other concerned officers and officials were also present on the occasion.
