Jammu: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, his Advisor Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar and Chief Secretary Dr Arun Kumar Mehta in their separate greeting messages on Wednesday greeted the people on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami.
In his message of greeting the Lt Governor Manoj Sinha said that Lord Ram is the embodiment of righteousness, compassion, justice and high moral values. May the auspicious festival of Ram Navami strengthen our faith in the goodness of mankind, inspire all of us to rededicate ourselves to the cause of selfless service and usher in happiness, prosperity and well being of all, said the Lt Governor.
In his separate message of greeting the Advisor to Lt Governor Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar remarked that this sacred festival marks the celebration of Lord Ram’s life of righteousness and truth. He added that on this great occasion we all need to spread Lord Ram’s noble message of righteous conduct and renew our commitment to his ideals. The Advisor also prayed for peace, progress and prosperity of entire Jammu and Kashmir.
In his message of greeting Chief Secretary Dr Arun Kumar Mehta said that Ram Navami, the birth day of Lord Ram, celebrated by the people of the nation with deep religious sentiment and fervor. He stated that Lord Ram is worshipped as the epitome of virtues and embodiment of righteousness and morality. Ram Navami offers to the people an opportunity to renew their faith in spirituality, moral and ethical values and to rededicate themselves to the cause of underprivileged with service and sacrifice, he added.
