Srinagar: Police in Kulgam on Tuesday facilitated a Police Community Partnership Group meeting (PCPG) at Police Station DH Pora. Besides, distributed Wheel Chairs, Crutches and hearing aids among needy under Civic Action Programme.
According to a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar, the meeting was chaired by SP Kulgam Sahil Sarangal. Besides, ASP Kulgam Shabir Ahmad and SHO PS DH Pora were also present in the meeting. The meeting was attended by respectable citizens of DH Pora and its adjacent areas.
Speaking on the occasion, SP Kulgam said that the main motive of the meeting is to improve public safety by strengthening trust and developing partnerships between police and public.
During meeting participants raised various issues of public importance besides, applauded the role of police in eradicating drug menace in the area. The chairing officer assured them that issues related to police will be resolved on priority and those pertaining to civil administration will be taken up with concerned quarters for their early redressal.
Later, the SP Kulgam distributed Wheel Chairs, Crutches and Hearing Aids among poor and needy people of district Kulgam under the aegis of “Civic Action programme”. He also felicitated Alisa Jan daughter of Abdul Rashid Ganie resident of Yaroo for her remarkable performance in Cricket with cash prize and appreciation certificate to boost her morale.
Interacting with beneficiaries including specially abled persons, SP Kulgam assured them that Police will always play its eminent role in providing every possible support to the needy people. Further he ensured all beneficiaries to maintain peace and tranquillity and not indulge in criminal/subversive activities.
