Srinagar: Police in Awantipora on Saturday organises an interaction meeting with NOKs of Martyrs at conference hall of District Police Lines Awantipora.
According to a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar, the meeting was chaired by SSP Awantipora Ajaz Ahmed Zargar, DySP DAR DPL Awantipora and I/C Savera Cell. The meeting was attended by NOKs of Police Martyrs of Police District Awantipora.
During the meeting, SSP Awantipora took stock of the welfare of the families of slain police personnel who laid their precious lives in safeguarding the sovereignty and integrity of the country. Rich tributes were paid to the slain police personnel. He assured the NOKs every possible help as and when required. He also informed the participants about various welfare measures that are being taken by police department for the welfare of the NOKs. He further acknowledged the participants that police are committed to provide every possible assistance to the families of Police Martyrs.
According to the above quoted Police statement NOKs of slain cops expressed their satisfaction and hoped to further strengthen this bond. The chairing officer reiterated that the grievances that were raised will be duly looked into and necessary correspondence will be made with concerned authorities for their timely redressal.
