DGP Dilbagh sanctions Welfare loan of Rs 91.50 lacs besides 88 lac as Spl welfare relief for families of deceased police personnel

DGP sanctions Rs.2.04 crore as Spl Welfare Relief for NoKs of slain, deceased police personnel,SPOs

Jammu: The Director General J&K POlice Dilbag Singh here on Saturday sanctioned Rs. 91.50 lakh as Welfare loan in favour of serving Police personnel. He also sanctioned Rs 88 lakh as Special Welfare Relief in favour of 04 deceased Police personnel.
According to a statement issued from Police Media Centre, PHQ J&K Jammu the Welfare loan of Rs. 1.5 lakh each was sanctioned in favour of 24 serving Police personnel for marriage of their son/daughters and Rs One lac lac each in favour of 39 Police personnel for self marriage. Further Rs. 1.5 lac each has also been sanctioned in favour of 10 police personnel for professional education of their wards besides Rs One lac in favour of one ward of serving police personnel for higher education. Rs. 50,000 each has been sanctioned in favour of two police personnel for performing social obligation. The grant of welfare loan is sanctioned out of the Central Police Welfare Fund.
Meanwhile, Police Chief has also sanctioned Special Welfare Relief of Rs. 22 lakh each in favour of dependents/legal heirs of four deceased officers/officials including Director Prosecution Sikandar Mohan, ASI Nago Ram, HC Rajinder Singh and SgCt. Sajad Hussain who passed away while in service due to health-related issues. The financial assistance has been given out of the Contributory Police Welfare Fund.
