GM Northern Railways reviews work of Progressive Railway Projects

New Delhi|March,22: Ashutosh Gangal, General Manager, Northern Railway on Wednesday visited Ferozepur Division today. The main objective of his visit was to take a detailed review of the various progressive railway projects, development works, modernization of passenger facilities, implementation of latest rail systems and progressive development works of Ferozepur Division and to complete all these works on the basis of prescribed parameters within the stipulated time frame. All the Heads of Departments of Northern Railway, Divisional Railway Manager Dr. Seema Sharma and all Branch Officers of Ferozepur Division were involved in this review.
Official said that General Manager first reviewed the Amrit Bharat scheme. Ferozepur Cantt Railway Station is to be redeveloped under Amrit Bharat Yojana. He took stock of the structures at Firozpur Cantt Railway Station. Discussion with officials on ongoing electrification in Ferozepur division, work done by Gati Shakti unit, station development, track renewal, Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla rail project, automatic coach washing plant, redevelopment of goods shed for goods loading and unloading, etc. discussed. Necessary guidelines and guidance were given to them to complete all these works, especially the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla rail project within the stipulated time frame. He also stressed on the availability of locomotives and their timely maintenance. He said that ineffective wagons should be removed from the stock. He directed that all necessary steps should be taken for smooth functioning of the signaling system. Instructed to maintain punctuality and give priority to cargo loading and safety.
