Jammu|March, 21: A strong earthquake of magnitude 6.6 on the Richter scale occurred at 10:17 pm on Tuesday night in Jammu and Kashmir.
The high-intensity earthquake occurred 22:10:27 IST. The earthquake was at the latitude 36.09 degrees north and longitude 71.35 degrees east, a meteorological department official here said. The epicenter was Hindu Kush Region, he said. However, there were no immediate reports of any loss of life or damage to property due to the earthquake.
