Cyclothon against drug abuse held at Safapora, DC G’bal felicitates cyclists

Ganderbal : Hundreds of cyclists participated in a Cycle rally organized Monday by DDC member Safapora and District Administration Ganderbal as a part of an awareness campaign against drug abuse at Safapora, here.
The cycle rally was flagged-off from Hakbura by DDC Member Safapora and was received by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir and ASP Ganderbal, Feroz Yehya at Safapora.
A felicitation ceremony was held at Govt. Middle School Safapora during which the DC felicitated first 3 position holders in the rally.
While interacting with the participants, the DC complimented them for participating in such a rally and said that more such rallies will be conducted in other blocks of the district. He also urged people, particularly the youth, not just to stay away from drugs but also fight drug addiction and substance abuse. He urged them to educate others to stay away from drugs.
