Committee on Coordination for Justice Delivery System meets at B’pora

Stress laid on expediting pace of work on new Distt Court Complex Kaloosa

Bandipora : The Principal District and Sessions Judge (PD&SJ) Bandipora, Amit Sharma on Saturday chaired a coordination meeting between judiciary and civil administration to discuss issues concerning ways and means for effective, efficient and timely rendering of justice to the litigants, the infrastructural and other local difficulties being faced by the judicial institutions at all levels in the district.
Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad; Senior Superintendent of Police; Additional District and Sessions Judge and Chief Judicial Magistrate Bandipora were present on the occasion.
Threadbare discussions were held with regard to the infrastructural shortcomings in the courts and directions were passed for resolving several issues for the convenience of judicial staff, lawyers and litigants.
The meeting assessed the pace of construction of new District Court complex at Kaloosa and litigant shed in District Court premises at Bandipora.
The executing agency informed the meeting about the progress of the work. He was directed to expedite the pace of work with the improvement in weather so that the project can be completed at earliest.
The meeting also discussed the steps taken for procurement of furniture and furnishing for the newly constructed court at Gurez.
Threadbare discussion on the issues concerning ways and means for effective, efficient and timely rendering of justice to the litigants, the infrastructural and security issues faced by the Judicial Institutions in the district and ways and means for developing and improving the system as a whole were held.
The PD&SJ Bandipora called upon all the stakeholders to work in tandem to strengthen the justice delivery system and to maximize the judicial output.
He emphasized the participants to streamline the coordination among the Courts and other stakeholders for developing and improving the judicial system and urged them to provide assistance pertaining to the justice delivery system.
Several issues were discussed and effective solutions were worked out to enhance the efficiency level of the judicial system at the district.
PD&SJ Bandipora and Deputy Commissioner Bandipora passed several directions with regard to the resolution of various issues.
He called for better coordination between civil administration and judiciary to ensure the issues are resolved at earliest besides overcoming the infrastructural shortcomings.
