2 thieves, 1 drug peddler booked under PSA in B’gam, Bla

Srinagar : Police on Thursday claimed to have booked 2 notorious thieves and a drug peddler under Public Safety Act (PSA) after obtaining necessary sanctions from the authorities in Budgam & Baramulla districts.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that in Budgam 2 habitual notorious thieves namely Azad Mukhtar S/o Mukhtar Ahmad Hajam and Altaf Ahmad Dar S/o Ghulam Mohammad Dar, both residents of Hanjiveera Pattan were detained under Public Safety Act by Police for their unrelenting criminal acts of burglary and theft, Stating therein further that the booked thieves were detained and subsequently lodged in Kot Bhalwal Jail Jammu.
Stating that the booked thieves were involved in 14 cases of burglary and theft in different Police Stations across Kashmir, Police in it’s statement further said that in Baramulla, a drug smuggler namely Rayees Ahmad Khan @Nano Khan S/o Late Wazir Mohammad Khan R/o Trikanjan Boniyar was booked under Public Safety Act after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent authority, Stating therein further that accused drug peddler was detained and subsequently lodged in Central Jail Kot Bhalwal Jail Jammu.
Police further said that 6 (Six) cases were registered against the said drug peddler and was involved in promoting drug trade by supplying drugs to local youth of Boniyar and other areas of District Baramulla, Stating therein further that despite his involvement in many FIR’s he did not mend his activities and was again involved in promoting drug abuse by supplying drugs to local youth.
