Naranag’s scenic beauty, adventurous terrain possess huge potential for tourism: DC G’bal

DC Presides over grievances redressal camp at Chattergul Bala

Ganderbal : In order to reach out to the people in each corner of the district and listen to their grievances, issues for immediate redressal, the District Administration Ganderbal on Wednesday organized Mega Block Diwas at Govt. Boys Middle School Chattergul Bala Kangan.
Public delegations, prominent citizens and PRI members of Chattergul and its adjoining areas participated enthusiastically in the grievance redressal camp and appreciate the steps of District Administration for organising such programmes in far flung and isolated areas.
Locals apprised the DC about their issues and grievances besides projected various developmental requirements in their areas and sought his intervention for early redressal of grievances.
Public delegations demanded construction of track from Chattergul to Gangbal for pedestrians and for its development as tourist village, construction of bridge at Baba Reshi Chattergul Bala, resuming of work on water filtration plant, macadamization and upgradation of roads, upgradation of Govt. Middle School to High School at Chatergul Bala, self employment avenues, AADHAR Centre and other demands of public importance.
The DC listened to the issues and grievances of the people patiently and some of the grievances of immediate nature were redressed on the spot. He also gave necessary instructions to the concerned departments for prompt and quality disposal of genuine issues as per their competence.
Locals and PRIs also raised several queries pertaining to line departments which were responded to by the heads of these departments.
Responding to the grievance of development of Naranag as tourist destination, the DC said that Naranag is having distinction in terms of scenic beauty and adventurous terrain, has huge potential for tourism and proper survey will be conducted to provide it status of a tourist spot which shall be impetus to employment generation for local youth.
He also assured that AADHAR centre shall be set up in the area for the convenience of people besides awareness camps on Self-employment schemes for the youth will be conducted in the area very soon.
Among others, Additional District Development Commissioner, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani, CPO, SDM Kangan, ACD, ACP besides other district and sectoral officers attended the camp.
