Burglary case solved in Bla, 2 accused arrested, Property worth lacs recovered, vehicle also seized : Police

Srinagar : Police on Wednesday said that it hass solved a burglary case by arresting 2 accused persons involved in the commission of crime in Baramulla district and also recovered stolen property from their possession.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that Police Post Mirgund received a complaint from one identified as Harjeet Singh (Project Manager A-Z Services) who had alleged therein that during intervening night of 13th & 14th March-2023, some unknown burglars broke the lock of the storeroom and stole High-tension transmission line & Red material 33000 KV element.
Stating further that a case was registered under relevant sections of law at Police Station Pattan and an investigation was subsequently initiated accordingly, Police in it’s statement further said that during the course of investigation, with the help of technical and human resources names of some suspects surfaced who were identified as Fida Hussain Khanday S/o Gh Mohammad Khanday R/o Yekhmanpora and were thereafter called for questioning
Police in it’s statement furthermore said during questioning the said accused confessed that he alongwith two other accomplices namely Shahin Ahmed Taknoo S/o Gh Ahmad Taknoo R/o Zaalpora Sumbal and Aijaz Ahmad Malla S/o Gh Mohammad Malla R/o Yekhmanpora were involved in the commission of crime, Stating therein further that among the involved persons, two have arrested while the third accused person namely Aijaz Ahmad Malla is still absconding and efforts are on to nab him.
Stating that on the disclosure of the said accused stolen materials worth lacs were recovered and the vehicle (Load Carrier) bearing registration number JK15B-4178 used in the commission of crime was also seized, Police in it’s statement further said that the said accused have been shifted to police station where they remain in custody.
