ADDC B’pora chairs meeting of Concurrent Audit Team, Reviews progress of languishing projects

Bandipora : The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Bandipora, Ali Afsar Khan, who is also chairman of the Audit team on Wednesday chaired a meeting of the Concurrent Audit team to review the progress of languishing projects.
The meeting was attended by officers of Public Health Engineering (PHE), Roads & Buildings (R&B), Power Development Department (PDD), and representative of District Self Employment Officer (DSEO) besides other members of the concurrent team.
The members were briefed about the mandate of the Concurrent Audit team and the details of languishing projects presently under execution and completed ones at Bandipora.
During the meeting, the members were given a detailed presentation on the languishing projects presently under execution and completed in the district. The officials from PHE, R&B, PDD, and DSEO gave a brief overview of the ongoing projects and highlighted the issues and challenges faced in their implementation.
On the occasion, the officers presented the progress of each languishing project and threadbare discussions were held with regard to progress of works besides discussing financial progress and the bottlenecks that hinder the pace of work.
The members of the audit team were also briefed about the procedure and documents required during the physical verification of completed languishing projects. All the concerned departments that have completed the languishing projects in 2022-23 have been asked to keep all documents ready as per the format distributed during the meeting, for the physical verification of these completed projects, which shall be completed shortly.
The team assured the district administration of its full cooperation and support in achieving the goals of transparency and accountability in the implementation of government schemes and projects.
The team also emphasized the need for timely completion of the ongoing projects and stressed on the importance of quality control and adherence to the set standards.
