10-Days Spl Enrollment drive kick-starts at Uri

Dir SEK inaugurates the drive; 1500 new entrants enrolled in the first phase

Baramulla : The Director School Education Kashmir (DSEK), Tassaduq Hussain on Wednesday launched a special 10 days long enrollment drive from Sub Division Uri during which more than 1500 new entrants including out of school and dropout children were enrolled in the first instance.
During the drive, the Director visited various Educational zones including Uri, Chandanwari, Julla and held an interaction with the parents wherein more than 1500 new entrants were enrolled.
During his visit to Julla Zone, 400 new entrants were enrolled at Higher Secondary School Salamabad. Similarly, 475 new entrants at Boys Higher Secondary School Uri, 345 at Higher Secondary School Gingal and 304 at Boniyar were also enrolled.
During door to door visits, the Director interacted with the parents and urged them to enroll their wards in Educational institutions of their jurisdiction so that they get benefited by the quality education.
He also gave on spot directions to all the educational heads to make people aware with regard to the special drive and also expressed hope that during this drive, government schools will witness the highest number of new entrants across the district.
Meanwhile, the Director also assured that the department would ensure the best possible facilities at government schools so that more and more students are benefited at the educational institutions.
The Director was accompanied by Chief Education Officer Baramulla, Balbir Singh Raina and other officers and officials of the department.
