Srinagar : Police on Tuesday said that it has arrested two drug peddlers in Baramulla and recovered contraband substance from their possession.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that a police party of Police Station Kreeri under the supervision of SDPO Kreeri Khalid Ashraf during naka checking at Saloosa Kreeri arrested two drug peddlers alongwith 135grams of Charas like substance, Stating therein further that the accused have been identified as Amir Subhan Malla S/o Subhan Malla and Farooq Ahmad Chopan S/o Gh Hassan Chopan, both residents of Watergam Kreeri and also shifted to police station where they remain in custody.
Stating that a case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Kreeri and investigation too has been started to ascertain the facts, Police in the concluding para of the above quoted statement appealed peopleto come forward with any information regarding drug peddling in their neighbourhood and warned that people found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law.
