Police organizes road race event in Pampore

Srinagar : Police on Monday said that it has organized a road race event in Pampore under the aegis of Civic Action Programme, in which youth of Sub-Division Pampore participated.
According to a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar the event was flagged off by SSP Awantipora Ajaz Ahmed Zargar. SDPO Pampore, SHO Pampore, SHO Khrew and other Police Officers were present on the occasion. The race started from Dusso up to Govt Degree College Pampore.
Interacting with the participants the SSP Awantipora said that everyone should take part in sports activities as it helps to boost their Self Confidence, Concentration, Physical as well as Mental Health. He said that students/youth should make optimum use of sports and channelize their energy in the right direction through sports activities. He also stressed upon the youth/students to organize anti-drug campaigns in their respective areas to save the society from drug menace. During the closing ceremony, the SSP Awantipora distributes cash prizes/ certificates among the first 10 winners of the event and participation certificates among all the participants.
